BOAW Bridge on a Wall

Bridge on a Wall (BOAW) es un proyecto creado por Abraham Hurtado y Vania Rovisco, cuyo objetivo es construir “creaciones en proceso y en directo” o “Live Installations”. En definitiva se trata de experimentar en colectivo a través de colaboraciones con artistas de diversas disciplinas que interactúan tanto entre ellos a partir de un concepto dado en común a todos, como ante el público.

BOAW propone una investigación conjunta entre los artistas participantes/colaboradores y el contexto dado, en el sentido más espacial del término.

Al conformarse nuestro trabajo en un espacio, que nos acoge y estructura variadamente en cada intervención, tomamos ese marco espacial como punto de partida de nuestra creación y de esta forma, cada presentación de BOAW resulta una construcción en vivo, en directo y en proceso ubicada en un espacio diferente en cada ocasión.

En cada intervención, los artistas invitados tienen un objeto sólido (musical, plástico o material) que puede formar parte de la composición de BOAW. Nuestra intención no es alterar el núcleo del objeto en cuestión, sino más bien que los trabajos emerjan en la plataforma ofrecida por BOAW y que se fusionen y emanen procesos de ellos, así dispuestos unos junto a otros.

Para BOAW el mayor interés reside en investigar las formas posibles de una “Live Installation” o una instalación en vivo y en directo. Es decir, que los trabajos se componen en secuencias que se repiten.

En cada intervención, BOAW provee la dramaturgia o composición a los  artistas / colaboradores, creando así el nexo de unión de esta intervención “ Live Installation”

La propuesta de trabajo resulta para BOAW de un interés incomparable. Este proyecto despierta nuestra curiosidad como artistas, en tanto que representa la oportunidad para explorar esas condiciones espaciales. BOAW también encarna la oportunidad de realizar un intercambio de experiencias: conocer artistas y estudiantes locales, y compartir con ellos las herramientas que venimos desarrollando en diferentes partes del mundo. BOAW ya es una realidad en ciudades como  Berlín, Lisboa o Barcelona-

Bridge on a Wall pertenece a la Plataforma AADK, Aktuelle Architektur Der Kultur fundada en Berlin en 2009.

“Construyendo Miedos”

Vacío en silencio. Silencio vacío…Profundo. Pérdida espacial y descarga en violencia.

Explosión más que violencia. Direcciones. La articulación bloqueada. Bloqueada desde la articulación.

Apretada. No te mueves, te oyes que no te mueves. No hay conexión entre las articulaciones…

Lo miré, era porque era una persona. Te sientes desnuda hacia la otra persona, que te conozca demasiado y no le gustes…A que acabe, sobre todo a que acabe… Pérdida, tristeza, incertidumbre, silencio y volver a empezar…Tiempo, fuerza, crecimiento y volver a empezar…Mucha paz, mucha paz y volver a empezar…

Observar y sentir presencias.

El hecho de estar febril te lleva a imaginar cosas de las que no puedes salir, quizá alguna alergia, algún compuesto… Y salí al aire por fin con mi barriga de 7 meses…. ¿correr?, ¿volver atrás?. Alante no hay espacio para mi con mi barriga… . Adelante, con tu peso corriendo, corriendo, buscando donde encerrarte

La propuesta de Bridge on a Wall a realizar en el Centro Párraga gira entorno al miedo, creando varias Live Installations que parten de el concepto “Construyendo Miedos”. Los artistas invitados tendrán como punto de partida común para desarrollar el trabajo los miedos, siendo estos la  fuente de inspiración desde la cual partimos hacía la creación y aproximación de las diferentes formas y texturas de los mismos…. Miedos físicos, psicológicos  e inmateriales.

Para ello contaremos con artistas murcianos como el coreógrafo Mario G. Sáez, la creadora escénica Sara Serrano, el artista plástico Iván Planes Cano, la actriz Sofía Verástegui y la colaboración especial del grupo LUMMU PERCH.

Asi como asiduos artistas de Bridge on a Wall, Anders Bigum (Copenague), Anabel Labrador (Barcelona),  Maureen L. Lembo (Madrid/Barcelona), Joaquim Revenga “Tatín” (Barcelona) y Arkadi Zaides (Tel Aviv). Tendremos la colaboración especial del artista visual Jerónimo Hagerman (México DF) y el diseñador gráfico Roger Adam (Barcelona).

Complentando el equipo de Bridge on a Wall tendremos a mas de 10 colaboradores de distintas disciplinas artísticas asi como no profesionales, siendo ellos los verdaderos protagonistas ya que llevaran a cabo 3 horas de Live installation ejecutándolas e interpretándolas bajo la dirección de los artistas invitados.

BOAW Bridge on a Wall

Bridge on the Wall (BOAW) is a project created by Abraham Hurtado and Vania Rovisco, which aims to build “Creations in progress and direct” or “Live Installations”. In short it comes in a collective experience through collaborations with artists of various disciplines that interact among themselves as of a given concept common to all, and to the public.

BOAW proposes a joint investigation by the participating artists / collaborators and the given context, in the truest sense of the term space.

By conforming our work in a space that welcomes us and variously structure in every speech, we take this spatial framework as a starting point of our creation and in this way, each presentation is a construction BOAW live, live and in the process located in a different space each time.

In each speech, the guest artists have a solid object (musical, plastic material) which may be part of the composition of BOAW. Our intention is not to alter the core of the object in question, but rather that the work to emerge on the platform offered by BOAW and merging processes emanating from them, and arranged side by side.

For BOAW the greatest interest lies in investigating the possible forms of a “Live Installation” or a facility in live and direct. This means that the work is composed of sequences that are repeated.

In each speech, drama or BOAW composition provides artists / collaborators, creating the nexus of this intervention “Live Installation ”

The proposed work is to BOAW of unparalleled interest. This project arouses our curiosity as artists, as it represents an opportunity to explore these spatial conditions. BOAW also embodies the opportunity for an exchange of experiences: meet artists and local students, and share with them the tools that we have been developing in different parts of the world.BOAW already a reality in cities like Berlin, Lisbon and Barcelona –

“Constructing Fears”

“Slient emptiness. Empty silence…deep. Lost sense of space and violent release. Explosion more than violence. Directions. Blocked joints. Blocked from the joint. Pressured. Don´t move, you can hear you cannot move. There´s disconnect between the joints….
I saw it, it was because it was another person,. You feel naked towards the other person, that they know you too much and your are disliked…Let it end, above all, let it end…lost, sad, uncertain, silence and start all over again…Time, strength, growing and start again…lots of peace, lots, start all over again….
Watch and feel presence.
The febrile state makes you imagine things that you cannot escape, maybe some allegy, something made of…And I came out into air with my 7 month belly…to run?, go back? Infront there ain´t space for my belly….go ahead, speed away with your weight, speed away, look to entomb yourself.

The proposed of Bridge on a Wall is to perform at Centro Párraga a multiples “Live Installations” departing from the concept “Constructing Fears”.

Guest artists will have  a common starting point for working , in these case are ”the fears”,that these being the source  inspiration from which we started and approach towards to the creation of different shapes and textures of the same …. Physical, psychological or intangible´s  fears  .

This features artists, such as murcian´s choreographer Mario G. Saez , the scenics´s creator Sara Serrano, the plastic´s artist Ivan Planes Cano, actress Sofia Verástegui and the special collaboration of the group LUMMU PERCH.

Just as regulars artists collaborators in Bridge on a Wall like Anders Bigum (Copenhagen), Anabel Labrador (Barcelona), Maureen L. Lembo (Madrid / Barcelona), Joaquim Revenga “Tatin” (Barcelona) and Arkady Zaid (Tel Aviv). We will have the special collaboration of visual artist Jeronimo Hagerman (Mexico City) and the graphic designer Roger Adam (Barcelona).

Also been fully team in Bridge on a Wall will count whith over 10 employees of different artistic disciplines as well as amateurs, they being the real protagonists and to undertake 3 hours of Live executing and interpreting installation under the direction of guest artists.
